A craftsman's first online store, built so it still feels like home.

Olde Wood Accents has spent years building custom wood flooring, ceilings, and Smart Beams one bespoke project at a time. When they decided to sell wood mantels online, they came to us. We built WoodMantle.com, a dedicated Shopify store where customers can browse and buy mantels directly. It lives on its own domain, but we wired it back to the parent site and matched the branding closely enough that moving between the two feels like one continuous experience.

Olde Wood Accents is a reclaimed wood and custom millwork company based in South Louisiana. They make custom architectural wood products for homes and commercial spaces. Their business has always run on custom projects and direct customer inquiries rather than online retail. Mantels were the exception that made sense. They were a product customers could see, choose, and buy online without losing the craftsmanship and character the Olde Wood Accents name carries.
How do you put a handcrafted product behind a checkout button without it suddenly feeling mass-produced?
Olde Wood Accents had built its name on custom work, on projects and conversations and craftsmanship you could feel in person. The company had never sold a single product online. The opportunity was clear and so was the risk. Done poorly, the new store would feel bolted on and generic, disconnected from everything the brand had spent years earning. The mantels deserved better than a generic retail page.

We gave the mantels their own home. WoodMantle.com is a dedicated Shopify storefront, which kept the e-commerce machinery off the main site and gave the product line room to stand on its own.
A separate store still needed to feel like part of the family, so we carried over the colors, the typography, the imagery, and the navigation that make Olde Wood Accents recognizable. Customers never sense the handoff. We also added a direct tab on the parent site that takes visitors straight into the store, so the brand stays familiar even as they cross over to buy.
That approach gave Olde Wood Accents the upside of a standalone e-commerce platform while keeping the brand experience intact.

We started by studying what already existed, including the branding, the website, the products, and the way customers move through all of it. Then we built the store to match, set up the product and checkout experience, and connected the two sites with clear navigation. Before launch, we tested across desktop and mobile to confirm that customers could browse, buy, and move between the two sites without hitting a rough edge.

WoodMantle.com gave Olde Wood Accents something it never had, which is a direct way to sell online. Customers can browse and buy mantels on their own time instead of starting every purchase with an inquiry.
There are no months of traffic data to point to yet, and that is expected this early in a brand new channel. What we can point to is the foundation. Olde Wood Accents now has a fully functional online store, closely tied to the parent brand, ready to grow the moment they want to add the next product.

E-commerce can support a custom, project-based business instead of competing with it.
A standalone storefront should still feel like it belongs to the parent brand.
