Cytophenix

A medical technology company in Perth needed more than a website. They needed a way to explain life-saving innovation to the world.

Who They Are

Cytophenix is a medical technology company based in Perth, Australia, developing tools that can change the way clinicians respond to serious infections.

Their FloCAST technology provides rapid analysis of blood cultures, helping determine which antibiotic is most effective in fighting an infection. In a field where traditional laboratory processes can take days, FloCAST is designed to deliver answers in hours.

That difference matters. Faster analysis can lead to faster treatment decisions, better outcomes, and lives saved.

But the technology alone was not enough. Cytophenix needed to communicate its value clearly to the investors, clinicians, and partners who could help bring it further into the world.

The science was there. The stakes were real. The message needed to catch up.

Cytophenix — filming on location in Perth, Australia

Cytophenix was building something with global significance from Perth, Australia. They needed to reach international investors, clinicians, researchers, and clinical testing partners. They also needed to explain a complex medical technology in a way that felt credible, clear, and human. The problem was content.

The company did not have the level of visual storytelling needed to match the importance of the technology. Without strong video, photography, and a polished website, Cytophenix risked underselling a tool built to solve a serious clinical problem.

What Success Looks Like

The goal was to create the content and website foundation Cytophenix needed to communicate with confidence.

Success meant giving the company a stronger way to support investor conversations, clinician interest, conference exposure, and future growth.

The project needed to:

  • 01Create high-quality video content explaining Cytophenix’s technology and mission.
  • 02Capture professional photography that made the company feel credible and accessible.
  • 03Build a website that could clearly introduce Cytophenix and FloCAST.
  • 04Communicate the value of FloCAST to investors, clinicians, and testing partners.
  • 05Make a complex medical technology easier to understand without making it feel oversimplified.
  • 06Give Cytophenix the confidence to present itself on a global stage.

Strategy

This project started with a simple reality: Cytophenix needed to speak to the world, not just the room.

Their technology had the potential to affect clinical decision-making far beyond Perth. But for that audience to understand it, the message had to be translated into clear visuals, focused language, and a website that felt worthy of the work behind it.

We approached the project as both a content production effort and a website build. The two could not be separated. The website needed strong visuals to feel credible, and the visuals needed a home where they could do their job.

So we built the project around one connected system: capture the people, the lab, the technology, and the mission, then use that content to shape a stronger web presence.

A few principles guided the work:

  • Clarity without oversimplifying the science.
  • Credibility without making the brand feel cold.
  • Human storytelling behind technical innovation.
  • Content built for the website and future marketing use.
  • A web presence designed for investors, clinicians, and global partners.

Two-Day Video and Photo Shoot

Cytophenix — inside the lab during the two-day shoot

We flew a crew from Louisiana to Perth, Australia, to capture the content Cytophenix needed at the source.

Over the course of a two-day shoot, the team gathered video and photography built around the company’s technology, environment, and purpose. The goal was not to create generic lab footage. It was to capture the real setting behind FloCAST and give Cytophenix a visual library that could support its story with confidence.

The shoot was designed primarily for the website, but with enough flexibility to support broader marketing, investor outreach, and future communications.

Website Build

Cytophenix — the new website

Once the content was captured, we used it to build a website that could carry the story clearly.

The site needed to do more than look polished. It had to help visitors understand what FloCAST does, why speed matters in blood culture analysis, and why Cytophenix’s work has real clinical importance.

For investors, the site needed to communicate opportunity. For clinicians, it needed to communicate usefulness and trust. For global partners, it needed to show that Cytophenix was serious, credible, and ready for broader conversations.

The final website brought the video, photography, messaging, and technology together into one clear experience.

Together, these pieces gave Cytophenix a stronger way to communicate what they had built and why it matters.

Impact

Cytophenix now has a digital presence that better matches the scale of its ambition.

Before the project, the company had groundbreaking technology but lacked the content and website needed to present it clearly. Afterward, Cytophenix had professional video, photography, and a website built to support investor conversations, clinical testing opportunities, and international visibility.

The result is a stronger platform for growth: one that helps Cytophenix explain its technology, build trust, and pursue new opportunities with more confidence.

Their work is focused on saving lives through faster clinical insight. Now their online presence is better equipped to carry that message beyond Perth.

What We Learned

01

Complex technology needs clear storytelling

FloCAST is built around advanced medical technology, but the message still has to be understood quickly by investors, clinicians, and partners.

02

Strong content makes a website stronger

The video and photography gave the website the credibility, texture, and human context it needed.

03

Global audiences need confidence fast

When a company is reaching beyond its local market, the website has to establish trust from the first impression.

04

Technical work still needs a human story

Cytophenix’s technology matters because of what it can make possible for patients, clinicians, and clinical decision-making.
