Page50 has always been committed to our local community. We live here and we love the people and the place God has given us. And, we are compelled by that love for Christ, his commands, and our community to try and help out.
Recently, in our hometown of Opelousas, our city administration has come under accusation and public criticism centered around deteriorating infrastructure, misallocation of resources, and the stadium renovation project (among other things).
As this narrative continued to stir, Page50 was invited to participate in a round table event with city leaders to discuss what changes needed to be made to course correct. After this meeting, Page50 was asked to partner with the city of Opelousas in a consulting and communications role.
The goal of this role is three fold:
In short, we will be working to inform the citizens of Opelousas of how their tax dollars are spent. We are committed to this city. Our business was born here and from this city we now serve clients all over the world. Our grandchildren will call this city home, and as a result, we will fight to make it great. We believe that added transparency, accountability and enhanced communication will play a vital role in this endeavor.
The way forward won’t be easy, and we are fully aware of that, but we believe it will be worth it. We look forward to the long term effort of building a brighter future here in Opelousas for all of us, one step at a time.
Omnia Ad Dei Gloriam (All things to the glory of God)
